North Pole Experience #4 – The Masked Santa

Due to the face-covering mandate that our Governor has placed on our county, Santa will have to be wearing a mask in the photos this year.  We have been notified/advised that we are subject to a $10,000 fine for each occurrence that Santa isn’t wearing a mask if he is within 6 feet of a group outside of his household.  So unless it is Mrs. Claus or the elves coming to get a photo, Santa will be wearing a mask.  We all have fun and unique opinions on masks, but this is what it is, and we ask you to not punish us for decisions outside of our control.

We expect that this will be the most popular option and it will closely resemble the photo process that you have grown accustomed to at the North Pole.  Please refer to the Temporary Adaptations listed above that we must follow this year.  Kids will be standing on either side of Santa or behind his chair.  Santa will hold babies that are unable to stand and are willing to be held.  Sanitation procedures will be performed before and after the photo.  For nervous or unhappy children, Santa will distance himself behind the chair as parents or siblings are holding the unhappy ones.

The process will be quick and streamlined.  This will be a Christmas Photo Studio, and if anyone knows Santa’s photographer and crew, we are fast.  You will be able to select your favorite photo on our touch screens in one of the new Reindeer Stables immediately outside of Santa’s House.  The cashier and photo production will be outside as well.  Again, all of this is not ideal, and very frustrating, but it is what it is… unfortunately, this is the way.
